Pâte de verre is a process of kiln casting in which a mixture of fine glass granules and a binding agent molds to a negative cast and then fused to create a custom shape. I had the opportunity to draw up plans for a new crystal award design using this pâte de verre method. It was especially exciting that I was able to utilize both creative freedom and technical skills for production overseas.
